You still want to use your nursing skills. You still want responsibility. You still want to make clinical decisions and know that your experience matters.
At Elmore Assisted Living, we’re hiring a Part-Time LPN for our day shift who wants meaningful clinical work while caring for a consistent community of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
Instead of constantly starting over with a new assignment, you’ll have the opportunity to know the people you’re caring for and be part of their everyday lives.
$30.00 - $40.00/hour based on experience
$4,000 sign-on bonus
+$1.00/hour weekend differential
Part-Time Day Shift
Every‑other‑weekend rotation
Shared rotating on-call responsibilities
Consistent resident population
Assisted Living and Memory Care environment
Build relationships with residents and families
Supportive, family‑owned Minnesota organization
In some nursing environments, you barely have time to learn a patient’s name before you're thinking about the next task.
You’ll learn who prefers breakfast early. You’ll recognize the resident who’s normally talkative but suddenly seems quiet. You’ll know which family member likes an update when something changes.
And because you’re caring for people you actually know, your nursing assessment becomes more informed.
As an LPN, you’ll:
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders
Monitor residents and respond to changes in condition
Provide nursing support for chronic conditions and cognitive impairment
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records
Support individualized resident service plans
Communicate changes and concerns with nursing leadership and providers
Provide clinical guidance to caregivers and medication staff within your scope
Communicate with residents and families
Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, home health, hospice, therapy, and other healthcare partners
Participate in shared rotating on-call responsibilities
Help residents maintain safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life
Your clinical experience doesn’t disappear when you leave a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other high‑acuity environment.
Knowing medications matters. Recognizing a change in condition matters. Communicating clearly with a provider matters. Knowing when something can be monitored and when it needs to be escalated matters.
And being the nurse that residents, families, and caregivers know and trust matters too.
You’ll need an active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the confidence to practice within your scope.
Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Home Health, Hospice, or Geriatric Care can translate especially well.
We’re particularly interested in an LPN who is:
Dependable and organized
Observant when a resident’s condition changes
Comfortable communicating with providers and families
Confident providing clinical direction within their scope
Comfortable working with older adults and individuals with memory loss
Interested in becoming part of a community rather than simply completing a shift
Maybe you don’t need to leave nursing.
Maybe you just need a role where you can slow down enough to know the people you’re caring for.
At Elmore Assisted Living, you’ll still use your license, clinical judgment, assessment skills, and experience, but you’ll use them with people you’ll see again tomorrow.
If that sounds like the kind of nursing you’ve been looking for, we’d like to hear from you.
