Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our patient-centered care team. You will deliver targeted therapeutic exercises and modalities, supporting mobility and independence for patients in an acute care setting.

You will collaborate with PTs, nurses, and other care team members, documenting progress and ensuring safe, effective care while benefiting from resources and growth opportunities within the HCA network.

Qualifications

• Active LPTA license in Texas is required.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting is required.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility

• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas
• Associate Degree
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
