Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to join our hospital-based rehab team. You will deliver individualized therapy, guide patients through exercises, and collaborate with PTs, nurses, and care staff to restore mobility and independence.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA approved associates degree program.
  • Texas PT license and BLS certification.
  • 1 year PT hospital experience preferred.
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
  • Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
  • Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
  • Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: Graduate of an APTA approved associates degree program

Required License/Certification: PT Texas licensure and AHA BLS

Training and Experience: 1 year PT experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Skills and Knowledge: Effective work with adult and geriatric population is necessary; experience serving people with phyiscal disabilities
