Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Methodist Hospital Metropolitan team in San Antonio, TX.

You will provide individualized therapeutic exercises and modalities, supporting patient mobility and independence while collaborating with PTs and nursing staff to ensure high-quality care. The role emphasizes hands-on patient care in an inpatient rehab setting, with opportunities for growth, scheduling flexibility, and access to educational resources.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• One year of experience in Acute or Inpatient Rehab Therapy preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience.
