Job summary

The University of Toledo Health Science Campus is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant I to join the OP-Physical Therapy department. You will administer physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist and support daily clinical operations.

Required qualifications include a two-year PTA program, Ohio PTA license, CPR, and knowledge of APTA standards; good communication; ability to meet safety requirements; campus tobacco-free.

Qualifications

• Two-year PTA program leading to an associate’s degree.
• Current PTA licensure from the Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers or licensure applicant.
• Maintains standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• CPR certification prior to probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy treatments under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Performs duties as an assistant to support patient care.
• Documents patient care for payors and continuity of care.
