Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation in Ada, Oklahoma, is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) for a full-time position at Mercy Hospital Ada. The PTA will work under a licensed PT to help patients develop, restore, and maintain physical function and mobility while documenting care and communicating progress to the supervising therapist.

The role includes assisting with discharge planning, educating patients and caregivers, and supporting adaptive equipment needs and community resources.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Graduate of a program in discipline required.

Responsibilities

How you'll contribute

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services that support patients in developing, restoring, and maintaining physical function and mobility. The PTA implements treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic modalities, monitors patient responses, and communicates progress and potential goal modifications to the supervising therapist. Responsibilities include documenting care, educating patients and caregivers about functional deficits, and assisting with discharge planning, including guidance on adaptive equipment and community resources. The PTA ensures high-quality care while promoting patient engagement and recovery.
