Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Mercy Hospital Ada in Ada, Oklahoma, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team. You will evaluate patients and implement individualized therapy plans to restore function and mobility, using exercises, manual techniques, and therapeutic modalities.

You may supervise PT assistants and students, document progress, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Physical Therapist License in State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and implement medically prescribed physical therapy plans tailored to individual needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, establish goals, and develop personalized interventions to restore function and mobility.
• Treatments may include therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and the use of agents and devices.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to PT assistants, students, and support staff in compliance with standards.

Mercy Hospital Ada, Oklahoma, is a 159-bed, acute-care facility serving Pontotoc County and the surrounding areas in south-central Oklahoma. Our hospital provides vital health care services to the Ada and surrounding communities

How You'll Contribute

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual needs. The therapist conducts comprehensive assessments, establishes appropriate goals, and develops personalized interventions to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability, and promote mobility. Treatments may include therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and the use of physical agents and assistive devices. The Physical Therapist educates patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation strategies, while also supervising and delegating tasks to physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. Progress is continuously monitored and documented, with plans modified as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
