Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for MHPT @ Navy Yard. You will evaluate and treat patients, plan and adjust care, document progress, and involve patients and families in goal setting. The role includes collaboration with the care team and mentoring/trainings for staff, with emphasis on flexible, patient-centered service.

The position requires licensure in VA/DC/MD as applicable and BLS CPR certification, with productivity and documentation in dynamic clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your location(s).
• American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services and documents results, explains findings to patient and family, and involves them in goal setting.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation, patient presentation, and health care environment.
• Collaborates with other clinicians, modifies plans as needed, and completes discharge planning and follow-up.
• Maintains accurate documentation and productivity; manages schedule and supports staff development.
