Job summary

MedStar Health in Virginia's Navy Yard area is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. The role includes screening, evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and comprehensive documentation across diverse settings.

The ideal candidate will hold a PT degree, be licensed in MD/DC/VA as applicable, and hold an AHA BLS CPR certification. You will contribute to program planning and mentor staff and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your location.
• American Heart Association’s BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of history, assessments, and documentation of results.
• Explains findings and treatment plan to patient and family and involves them in goals.
• Implements treatment protocols and adjusts plans based on evaluation findings and patient needs.
• Completes discharge planning and accurately documents care and charges; mentors staff and students.
