Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join MHPT @ Navy Yard. The role covers screening, evaluation, planning, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation across multiple settings.

The therapist collaborates with the care team and contributes to program planning while mentoring students and staff. Ideal candidates have a PT degree, licensure in MD/DC/VA as applicable, and BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).
• American Heart Association’s BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation and screening with documentation of results.
• Explains findings and involves patient/family in goal setting.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation.
• Completes discharge planning and follow-up care with accurate documentation.
• Serves as a clinical instructor and mentors staff and students.
