Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center – Doctors Regional, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas. You will deliver therapist-guided exercises, apply therapy techniques, monitor progress, and educate patients and families while collaborating with PTs and nursing staff.

This role requires a Texas LPTA license, an associate degree in therapy, and at least 1 year in acute care.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility
• Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function
• Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care
• Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs
• Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas is required
• Associate Degree from a therapy program as a minimum, is required
• At least 1 year experience in an acute care setting is required
