Qualifications

  • Licensed RN in Texas.
  • ACLS, BLS and NRP certifications required within 30 days of start date.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing.
  • L&D experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform CT and X-ray procedures under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT and X-Ray procedures at a technical level with minimal supervision.
  • Apply radiation protection and safety standards.
  • Selects appropriate protocols for each patient.
  • Assess falls risk and implement safety precautions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records as directed.
  • Assist physician with contrast administration and sterile technique.
  • Provide age-appropriate care and involve family in plan of care.
  • Collaborate with department staff to ensure timely patient care.

RN – Registered Nurse
ACLS within 30 days
NRP/Neonatal Resuscitation within 30 days
BLS/Basic Life Support
Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs CT and X-Ray Procedures at a technical level which does not require supervision, and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Receives and performs other duties as assigned.


What you will do in this role:


  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribes safety standards

  • Selects proper technical protocols on an individual patient basis

  • Assess risk for falls and implements appropriate safety precautions

  • Demonstrates knowledge of fluid needs

  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of medications to be administered, including the medication’s effects, side effects and potential adverse reactions.

  • Maintains adequate records as directed.

  • Service

  • Ability to assess, interpret age specific data, knowledge of growth and development, and to provide age specific care.

  • Understands the range of treatment needed by specific age group.

  • Positions and transfers patients.

  • Assists physician in administering contrast media and practices sterile techniques when necessary.

  • Is familiar with standards of care for ages specified.

  • People

  • Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame.

  • Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department.

  • Maintains ethical relationships with patients and peers.

  • Possesses communication skills necessary to interpret age specific response to treatment.

  • Ability to involve patient/family/ significant other in decision making related to plan of care.

  • Supports physician partnerships.


What qualifications you will need:


  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • (RN) Registered Nurse

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support

  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

  • L&D exp required
