Job summary

Mount Carmel Senior Living Community is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Mount Carmel, PA. The role focuses on helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence in a skilled Nursing Facility / Long-Term Care setting.

As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, with per-diem scheduling and a collaborative, team-oriented environment designed to support resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Pennsylvania PTA license.
• Pennsylvania Indirect Supervision License preferred.
• Previous SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Net Health.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, and overall quality of life.
