Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Visalia, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens in a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with weekend rotation. The ideal candidate holds a state phlebotomy license (CA-specific licensing requirements apply) and may have phlebotomy certification preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures.
Administer oral solutions according to training.
Research test/client information and verify orders in lab systems.
Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
Process specimens for transport and prepare for testing.
Perform non-patient facing duties including inventory and sanitation.
Follow departmental policies and document statistics.
