Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• CPhT certification is required.
• Experience with claims adjudication is preferred.
• Knowledge of secondary billing including prescription discount cards and Medicaid is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescription orders and enter data accurately and timely.
• Place outbound calls to patients, doctors, and insurers for clarification.
• Identify missing information and make processing determinations per policy.
• Work under general supervision following guidelines and procedures.
• Contact patients to follow up on incidents or provide resolutions.
• Research rejected insurance claims and resolve the specified rejection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
