Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to lead critical heavy-lift and rigging projects. You will bridge core engineering mechanics with field execution, author lift plans, and seal calculations for multi-ton equipment.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have a BS in a relevant ABET-accredited discipline, and can interface with plant executives and field crews. Training in rigging mechanics and crane dynamics is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Louisiana or eligible for rapid comity licensure.
• BS in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Deep grounding in statics, mechanics of materials, deflection, and stress analysis.
• Strong communication and field interfacing with executives and craft crews.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, model, and validate lift packages for major industrial turnarounds and plant operations.
• Perform structural and geotechnical analysis, including ground-bearing pressures and temporary supports.
• Analyze rigging arrangements and verify against OEM crane capacity charts for stability.
• Prepare and seal engineering calculations, lift methodologies, and rigging drawings under supervision.
• Advise project managers, estimators, and operations during bid development and pre-lift safety reviews.
• Conduct site walkdowns and field audits, supporting pre-lift briefings and on-site troubleshooting.
