Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to support crane operations, lift planning, and heavy lifting projects. This role targets a PE with civil, structural, or mechanical foundations aiming to develop crane-specific expertise.

Crane industry experience is a plus but not required. You will perform calculations, develop lift plans, evaluate foundations, review crane configurations, and prepare technical documentation while collaborating with field and office teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold a PE license and background in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, strength of materials, and structural analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with field and office personnel.
• Experience in construction, industrial operations, or heavy equipment environments is welcome; familiarity with drawings and specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and analyses supporting crane operations, rigging, and lift planning.
• Develop and review engineered lift plans with experienced team members.
• Evaluate capacity of foundations, surfaces, and temporary works.
• Review crane configurations and verify lifting capacities using load charts.
• Prepare calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical docs.
• Learn and apply ASME, ANSI, OSHA standards and project specs.
• Sign and seal documents within licensure and competence.
• Provide technical support to operations, sales, and project mgmt teams.
• Participate in site visits, pre-lift meetings and safety planning.
• Maintain organized engineering records and manage multiple projects.
