Job summary

Bengal is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to support crane operations, lift planning, and heavy lifting projects in Geismar, Louisiana. This role focuses on applying civil, structural, and mechanical engineering fundamentals to crane systems and temporary works.

You will review load charts, develop lift plans, perform calculations, and coordinate with field crews, operations, and management. A PE license and engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

Requires PE license and a degree in engineering.
Strong fundamentals in statics, strength of materials, and structural analysis.
Familiarity with crane operations and lifting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering calculations supporting crane operations, lift planning, and site safety.
Develop and review engineered lift plans with experienced team members.
Evaluate foundations, temporary works, and surface capacities for lifting operations.
Review crane configurations and verify lifting capacities using manufacturer data.
Prepare calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical documentation.
Learn and apply ASME/ANSI standards and OSHA requirements.
