Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients.

You will serve as a clinical resource and instructor, design plans of care, educate patients and staff, document care, participate in team meetings, and help meet service and productivity standards. Carle Health offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT as required by IDFPR.
• BLS within 30 days per AHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient transfers with safe body mechanics to prevent injury.
• Designs and adjusts care plans with goals, outcomes, and discharge plans.
• Assesses for, fits, and modifies splints/orthotics.
• Educates patients, families, and other staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine diagnoses and care plans.
• Performs examinations using appropriate assessment methods.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and outcomes.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team.
• Documents care per department standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards.
• Acts as a clinical instructor when assigned.
• Participates in team and department activities.
• Performs reporting and other duties as assigned.
