Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking a Licensed Optician for our Northridge, CA location. You will accurately fit eyewear and place prescriptions, while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires state licensure and optical dispensing experience, with strong math and fashion-awareness. You will use a POS system and iPad/tablet to assist customers and meet brand KPIs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure for optics.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology & change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers, set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take & record measurements, adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail.
• Assist team with complex product needs & prescriptions.
