Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Strong knowledge of frames, lenses and related products.
• Ability to explain optical prescriptions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection while maintaining social distance.
• Explain products and services and interpret prescriptions with the Lab and Optometrist.
• Provide insurance benefits information and note any charges not covered by Third-Party plans.
• Use the SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Measure, fit and dispense frames with accuracy and verify products.
• Keep the dispensing area clean and organized.
• Ensure pricing accuracy for retail customers.
• Maintain state license requirements as applicable.
• Provide guidance to Apprentices when needed.
• Comply with HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Participate in trainings to meet departmental goals.
• Maintain equipment and workstations daily.
• Handle additional responsibilities as business needs arise.
