Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a licensed dispensing optician to join our in-house optical team. You will measure, fit, and adjust eyewear, ensure products meet optical standards, and clearly explain prescriptions to customers.

You will collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional service and help customers select frames that fit their prescription and lifestyle. The role requires strong communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license.
• ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Clear, effective communicator who can break down technical terms for customers.
• Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Not on the LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Check eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Form best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the brand and educate others about Warby Parker’s values.
