Qualifications

Job Overview

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. The role involves delivering legendary customer service and crafting high‑quality eyewear that exceeds customer expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers and set expectations
  • Custom fit glasses and accurately place prescriptions in lenses
  • Lead by demonstrating strong optical acumen
  • Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
  • Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions
  • Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure, demonstrating product knowledge and appropriate tools
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations
  • Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain store appearance by keeping it clean, attractive, and organized
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
  • Resourceful, self‑motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management
Basic Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • State licensure
  • Optical dispensing experience

  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet
