Qualifications

• Option 1: Completion of 2 or more years of college.
• Option 2: 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Option 3: 2 years' general work experience, including 1 year's optical experience.
• Maintain NPI number and active state licensure.
• Register and maintain Optician in Charge status.
• Maintain active state licensure and/or registration, including meeting continuing education requirements.
• Experience in optical services or retail operations.
• Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
• Experience with insurance processing and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Lead department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
• Forecast sales trends and align product assortments with member needs and local patterns.
• Monitor pricing and adjust strategies to achieve financial targets.
• Use data to identify opportunities and refine merchandising tactics for revenue growth.
• Lead community outreach to promote optical services and strengthen local relationships.
• Ensure high service standards and prompt resolution of member inquiries and concerns.
• Oversee eyewear measurements, fittings, and contact lens education under optometric supervision.
• Manage documentation, HIPAA compliance, and safety protocols.
