Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT / OTR/L) to join our team. This role blends traditional occupational therapy practice with outdoor, equine-assisted, and nature-based approaches. The OT will collaborate with trained horse handlers and support staff to ensure safe, engaging, and effective sessions focused on functional skill development and meaningful participation in daily life.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in an outpatient, nature-based setting.
• Incorporate equine assisted services and movement-based interventions into treatment sessions, when appropriate.

• Collaborate with horse handlers and team members to maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.

Qualifications (or eligible for licensure).

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of South Carolina.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience with equine assisted services or comfort around horses preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to complete equine-assisted or hippotherapy-related training (provided).Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
