Job summary

Qualifications

• SC license to practice OT (OTR/L) required or eligible for licensure in SC.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with equine-assisted services preferred but not required.
• Willingness to complete equine-assisted/hippotherapy training provided.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT services in outpatient, nature-based setting.
• Incorporate equine-assisted movement into sessions when appropriate.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, emotional regulation, and independence.
• Collaborate with horse handlers and staff to maintain a safe therapy environment.
• Build relationships with participants and families through compassionate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per professional standards.
• Support Strides of Strength mission by fostering growth, confidence, and resilience.
