Job summary

Rockingham County in New Hampshire is seeking Licensed Nursing Assistants to provide direct resident care under licensed nurse supervision. Duties include bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, responding to alarms, and reporting changes in residents' condition.

Qualifying candidates have completed an NH-Board-approved LNA course and hold a current NH LNA license. There is a strong emphasis on safety, infection control, and teamwork within the care setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved LNA course as set by the NH Board of Nursing.
• Must possess and maintain a current NH LNA license.
• Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting and answering call lights/alarms.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and daily activities to licensed staff.
• Help maintain unit common areas and residents’ rooms, including bedmaking and personal belongings.
• Follow established safety and infection control policies and procedures.

SCOPE OF POSITION

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) provides various resident direct care activities and related non-licensed services necessary in caring for and monitoring the personal needs and comfort of the residents under the direction of a licensed nurse. We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. Our LNA’s are a vital part of our dynamic team! With all services being performed under the direction of a licensed nurse, the LNA provides our residents with comfort and care through bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, answering call lights/alarms, and more. Our LNA’s are continually educated on the best documentation practices and are also responsible for observing/reporting any changes or concerns in residents’ activities. The LNA may maintain the unit common areas along with the resident’s room by making their beds and arranging their personal belongings. Our LNA’s are responsible for following all established safety and infection control policies/procedures and will also intervene/report unsafe situations.

• Successful completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistant as set by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire LNA license.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have working knowledge or willingness to learn Electronic Medical Records system.

AVAILABLE SCHEDULES

• Weekender I (24 Hours/Weekend - $2,400 Sign-On Bonus): SAT/SUN
  • 7:00am - 7:00pm
• Weekender II (36 Hours/Weekend - $3,600 Sign-On Bonus): FRI/SAT/SUN or SAT/SUN/MON
  • 7:00am - 7:00pm

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS

• Fri OR Mon: Earn the base hourly rate + applicable shift differentials:
  • Hours worked between 3:00pm-11:00pm: $4.00/hour
• Sat/Sun: Earn 1.5X the base hourly rate+ applicable shift differentials:
  • Hours worked between 7:00am-3:00pm: $3.00/hour
  • Hours worked between 3:00pm-11:00pm: $7.125/hour
