Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield is seeking a PRN Licensed Therapist to join our inpatient psychiatric care team for children and teens. You will perform psychosocial assessments, educate families, coordinate with community agencies, and support discharge planning while facilitating daily therapy groups.

Qualified candidates hold unrestricted social work licensure (SW) with LMSW/MSW/LPC preferred; CSW or PLPC considered with stipulations.

Qualifications

• Requires unrestricted licensure in social work and a relevant degree.
• LMSW, MSW or LPC preferred; CSW or PLPC considered with stipulations.
• Minimum 1 year hospital-based psychiatric experience preferred.
• CPR and CPI training must be completed within 30 days of employment.
• Full-Time position with some weekends.

• Maintain contact with family and provide patient education, support, and advocacy.
• Coordinate care and liaise with community-based social and mental health agencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up to link with community resources.

What You'll Do

• Complete psychosocial assessments of new patients and develop updates or detailed reassessments of the patient.
• Maintain contact with family and significant others when appropriate, and provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy.
• Provide coordination and act as a liaison with community-based social and mental health agencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning and conduct post-discharge follow-up to ensure patients are linked with community resources, reducing re-hospitalization.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups with patients daily.

What You'll Bring

EDUCATION & LICENSURE

Knowledge acquired through completion in social work (SW) from an accredited school of social work. Unrestricted licensure in social work required. LMSW, MSW, or LPC preferred. Will consider CSW or PLPC with stipulations.

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting, with psychiatric experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.

SCHEDULE

Seeking Full-Time with some weekends.
