Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield is seeking a licensed therapist to join our inpatient team serving children and teens. This PRN/FT role emphasizes patient-centered care and coordinated family involvement. You will assess, plan, and participate in discharge planning within a hospital setting.

Applicants require unrestricted licensure in social work and CPR/CPI training within 30 days. Prior psychiatric hospital experience and weekend availability are preferred in a supportive, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Unrestricted licensure in social work required.
• LMSW, MSW, or LPC preferred; CSW or PLPC considered with stipulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments for new patients and update reassessments.
• Maintain contact with families and provide education, support, and advocacy.
• Coordinate with community-based social and mental health agencies as liaison.
• Facilitate discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up to link patients with resources.
• Lead daily therapeutic groups with patients.

What You’ll Do

• Complete psychosocial assessments of new patients and develop updates or detailed reassessments of the patient.
• Maintain contact with family and significant others when appropriate, and provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy.
• Provide coordination and act as a liaison with community-based social and mental health agencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning and conduct post-discharge follow-up to ensure patients are linked with community resources, reducing re-hospitalization.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups with patients daily.

What You’ll Bring

EDUCATION & LICENSURE

Knowledge acquired through completion in social work (SW) from an accredited school of social work. Unrestricted licensure in social work required. LMSW, MSW, or LPC preferred. Will consider CSW or PLPC with stipulations.

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting, with psychiatric experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.

SCHEDULE

Seeking Full-Time with some weekends.
