Job summary

Perimeter Healthcare is hiring a PRN Licensed Therapist for Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield, an inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and teens. The role is full-time with some weekends, focused on patient-centered care and family involvement.

The position requires unrestricted social work licensure (SW) with LMSW/MSW or LPC preferred; CSW/PLPC considered with stipulations. CPR and CPI training must be completed within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted licensure in social work required.
• MSW, LMSW or LPC preferred; CSW or PLPC considered with stipulations.
• At least 1 year of hospital/psychiatric experience preferred.
• Successful CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments of new patients and develop updates or reassessments.
• Maintain contact with family and provide patient/family education, support, and advocacy.
• Coordinate and liaise with community-based social and mental health agencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up to link patients with community resources.
• Facilitate daily therapeutic groups with patients.

What You’ll Do

• Complete psychosocial assessments of new patients and develop updates or detailed reassessments of the patient.
• Maintain contact with family and significant others when appropriate, and provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy.
• Provide coordination and act as a liaison with community-based social and mental health agencies.
• Facilitate discharge planning and conduct post-discharge follow-up to ensure patients are linked with community resources, reducing re-hospitalization.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups with patients daily.

What You’ll Bring

EDUCATION & LICENSURE

Knowledge acquired through completion in social work (SW) from an accredited school of social work. Unrestricted licensure in social work required. LMSW, MSW, or LPC preferred. Will consider CSW or PLPC with stipulations.

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting, with psychiatric experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of employment.

SCHEDULE

Seeking Full-Time with some weekends.
