Job summary

Columbia Mental Health is seeking licensed therapists to join our Transformations Care Network. You will provide outpatient individual and family therapy, develop crisis and wellness plans, and work with a clinical team to support diverse communities in Virginia and Maryland.

This role emphasizes professional growth, supervision, and collaborative care. Applicants must hold a current license or be eligible for licensure by hire, with a focus on delivering high-quality, culturally competent care

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Must hold a current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or be eligible for licensure by the time of hire.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, creating a welcoming environment for diverse backgrounds.
• Provide outpatient individual and family therapy based on client needs, fostering healing and resilience.
• Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans to support stable functioning.
• Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning to enhance client care.
• Ensure timely billing, documentation, and insurance authorization forms, maintaining professional standards.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and therapists for holistic care.
