Job summary

New Directions Mental Health is seeking licensed mental health therapists to join our collaborative team in Pittsburgh. We empower therapists to practice with integrity, growth, and licensure support within a Transformations Care Network framework.

The role emphasizes culturally sensitive assessments, individualized outpatient therapy, and comprehensive treatment planning in a supportive clinic environment. A current PA license or licensure eligibility by hire is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Must hold a current and active professional license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in Pennsylvania or be eligible for licensure by the time of hire.
• Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development in mental health including continuing education.
• Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families.
• Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans.
• Actively participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
• Engage in collaborative care with our team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and fellow therapists.
