Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Licensed Mental Health Professional at the Hamilton County Jail in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role supports correctional healthcare teams, performing evaluations, counseling, and suicide watch documentation using our electronic system.

Masters-level licensure in Ohio (LISW, LMFT, LMHC, LPCC, LSW, or LPC) with 3 years of clinical experience is required. You will coordinate with medical and security staff and contribute to training initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Masters prepared candidate with a current, unrestricted independent license in Ohio (LISW, LMFT, LMHC, LPCC, LSW, LPC).
• Minimum of 3 years' clinical experience in mental health care; correctional experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse, discharge planning, social work principles, suicide risk assessment, crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to work in a challenging environment.
• Must be able to manage stress and maintain health in stressful situations.
• Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes, and suicide watch notes.
• Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients' mental health care and release dates.
• Participate in educational activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V criteria.
• Valid CPR card
