NaphCare, Inc. is hiring licensed mental health professionals at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The role focuses on mental health evaluations, individual and group counseling, and collaboration with healthcare and security staff to ensure patient care and appropriate release dates. Candidates must hold an active NV license (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT, etc.), have CPR, and typically 3+ years of clinical mental health experience, preferably in correctional settings.

Qualifications

• Master's level mental health professional with active licensure (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT etc.) in NV.
• Proficient in clinical evaluation, counseling and DSM criteria.
• Excellent collaboration with correctional health and security staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document mental health evaluations and counseling notes.
• Coordinate with healthcare and security staff on patient care and release dates.
• Participate in educational activities for staff and patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM criteria.
• Provide therapy and transition support for incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):

• Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes and suicide watch notes
• Coordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients’ mental health care and release dates
• Participate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staff
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteria
• Provide goal oriented intervention directed toward management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness; strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related to chronic illness
• Counsel and provide intervention to assist in the transition to being incarcerated
• Document thoroughly all tasks as stated in client’s medical record to maintain social work recording and statistics
• Initiates and/or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials and providing group therapy

Qualifications

Qualifications forLicensed Mental Health Professionals (LCSWs, LCMHCs, etc.):

• Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure as a(LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LISW, etc.)inNV
• A valid CPR card
• A minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in a mental health care setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred
• Must have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.
