Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Correctional Mental Health Director to lead mental health services at the Montgomery County Jail in Montgomery, Ohio.

You will direct clinical programs, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality care for individuals in residence alongside correctional officers and clinicians. The role emphasizes program development, budget management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and correctional personnel to deliver

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Active, unrestricted license in state (LMSW-C, LPC, LMSW).
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 3 years' clinical mental health or acute care experience.
• Minimum 2 years' management experience; correctional healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health and co-occurring disorders, discharge planning and psychotropic medications.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and develop interventions and treatment plans.
• Effective communication and strong organizational skills; maintain confidentiality.
• Must pass facility criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing mental health programs and services.
• Coordinating, leading and participating in educational activities related to mental health care.
• Performing and documenting patient mental health evaluations and maintaining clinical records.
• Facilitating admissions, discharges, housing changes, seclusion and suicide precautions.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and correctional staff.
• Managing mental health staff, including training, recruitment and onboarding.
• Developing and managing program budgets and utilizing resources efficiently.
• Responding to and managing mental health crises and providing stabilization.
• Monitoring compliance with policies and ACA, NCCHC standards.
