Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC in Surprise, AZ is seeking a Qualified Medication Aide to join our care team. You will assist residents with medications as ordered by physicians and document all medication management activities per regulatory requirements and community protocols.

Responsibilities include obtaining and storing medications, maintaining a clean storage area, recording vital signs, and reporting changes to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Completion of Qualified Medication Aide program with current license.
• 18–24 months experience in a similar position; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as ordered by physicians.
• Documents all functions related to medication management as required by regulation and community protocols.
• Obtains, receives, and stores medications from pharmacy.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in medication storage area.
• Provide functions as directed by supervisor including daily records (vital signs, weight, measures) and observe/report skin breakdowns; review care plans daily; report changes to supervisor; chart accordingly.
• Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect; follow Residents’ Rights rules; report complaints/incidents to supervisor.
• Assist as directed in admission, transfer and discharge; inventory resident possessions; report defective equipment.
• Understand and use Universal Precautions; follow safety rules; ensure cleanliness of rooms; record restraints; report safety violations.
• Attend orientation, training, educational activities, and staff meetings.
• Any other tasks as deemed by management.
