Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of Qualified Medication Aide program with current license.
• 18–24 months experience in a similar position; CPR/First Aid certified preferred.
• High school diploma/ GED; certification as a medication aide in good standing; mandatory in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as ordered and per state regulations.
• Document all medication management activities and use EMAR when available.
• Receive, store, and secure medications; monitor for adverse reactions and report to nurse.
• Perform tasks related to medication administration, including vital signs and glucose testing as allowed by state rules.
• Maintain a clean, orderly medication storage area and follow safety rules.
