Job Description

Must currently hold an active Life and Health General Lines License in your state of residence.

The Licensed Medicare Benefit Advisor position is available in all U.S. States except for AK, AL, CA, CO, GA, HI, NM, SC, VT, WA, WY.

Spanish/English Bilingual Speakers Needed, but not required.

The AHB Benefit Advisor in Training IH is responsible for driving Medicare sales through professional and consultative selling of plan options in prospect areas while in an inside sales environment. Additionally, Benefit Advisors may have opportunities with some IFP (Individual & Family plans) and ancillary product sales through consultative selling on plan options.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive inbound calls from customers with questions on health insurance options in 20-50 states.
  2. Assist with escalated customer issues.
  3. Provide a positive customer experience with excellent customer satisfaction.
  4. Meet sales and productivity goals daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
  5. Update customer files in CRM with summaries of interactions.
  6. Participate in call center opening/closing procedures as needed.
  7. Make outbound sales calls on various campaigns.
  8. Recommend plans and enroll prospects based on their needs.
  9. Quote, present, and close sales while overcoming objections.
  10. Follow up on “book of business” with outbound calls to prospects.
Essential Duties as a Full-Time Medicare Benefit Advisor
  • Consult and educate seniors 65+ on Medicare plans over the phone.
  • Leads will be provided; no prospecting required.
  • Answer questions from customers about health insurance options.
  • Make outbound sales calls on various campaigns.
  • Achieve sales and productivity goals regularly.
Certifications and Licensures Needed
  • Must hold an active General Lines L&H License in your state of residence.
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of sales, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and adherence to schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and be accountable.
  • Proficiency with multiple computer programs simultaneously.
  • Reliable internet with Ethernet connection and dedicated home workspace; Allstate provides equipment.
  • HS Diploma or GED required.

The total compensation range is $55,000 to over $100,000 annually (salary + incentives).
