Job summary

Select Source International is seeking a field technician to read blueprints, interpret diagrams, and perform inspections of life safety product lines. You will handle hand tools, lift equipment, and operate on ladders, following written and verbal instructions.

A high school diploma is required; NICET certification is preferred but not essential. You will maintain inspection schedules and document service requests with care.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Experience with hand tools and measurement devices.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on lifts and ladders.
• NICET certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and competitive equivalents.
• Identify additional products or services not utilized by the customer.
• Organize and utilize technical resources and information to execute tasks efficiently.
• Work with low voltage devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Learn to complete Service Requests with proper coding and maintain inspection schedules.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation via laptop.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
