Superior Electrical & Plumbing, Inc. is hiring Licensed Journeyman Plumbers for our Hawaii operations, including travel to multiple jobsites. The role requires a Hawaii journeyman license and at least four years of recent commercial plumbing experience in new construction or tenant improvements. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided for business use.

Schedule runs Sunday to Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Overtime is available.

Qualifications

Valid Hawaii journeyman plumbing license
Minimum of four years of recent commercial plumbing experience
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
Verbal and written English literacy for communications

Responsibilities

Demo and replace plumbing piping (PVC, ABS, cast iron, copper) in commercial environments
Mount new fixtures and trim per specs and codes
Install and repair grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste and water systems
Perform light construction or repairs on concrete, drywall, tile and trim
Operate tools and equipment (jackhammers, saw cutters) safely and efficiently
Read and layout from blueprints/plans; follow OSHA guidelines
Record commute and travel time; travel may be required
Support department with additional duties as needed

Description

We are seeking Licensed Journeyman Plumbers to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Hawaii journeyman plumbing license and have a minimum of four years of recent commercial plumbing experience in new construction or tenant improvement projects. A company vehicle and fuel card are provided for business use, including travel between jobsites.

Sunday to Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Overtime available but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

Demo and replace plumbing piping, including PVC, ABS, cast iron (no-hub), and/or copper
Mount new fixtures and trim according to manufacturer specifications and applicable municipal codes
Install and repair grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste systems, water systems, and utilities within a commercial retail environment
Complete light construction repairs or installations on concrete, asphalt, drywall, tile and trim
Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites, including (but not limited to) digging trenches, setting braces to support excavation sides, erecting scaffolding, and removing rubble, debris, and other waste materials
Properly use equipment such as jackhammers and saw cutters
Read and layout work from blueprints, plans, and isometric drawings
Work in accordance with current OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
Drive company issued vehicles in accordance with company policies
Accurately record commute and travel time as required. Technicians may be eligible for paid drive time upon meeting qualification requirements
Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department
Minimum of four years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience

Requirements

Current journeyman plumbing license issued by the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA)
Valid driver license with no more than two points or driving restrictions on the driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
Verbal and written English literacy for the use of cell phone and mobile email communication
