People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists in Elizabeth, NJ seeks an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to own the customs entry process for imports. You will ensure compliance with U.S. Customs requirements and CBP regulations while handling multiple shipments efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in U.S. customs brokerage, strong HTS knowledge, and excellent client service skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of U.S. customs brokerage experience.
• Solid knowledge of CBP regulations and import procedures.
• Experience handling multiple entries and client support.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customs clearance for international imports.
• Review entries in line with CBP regulations and HTS.
• Classify merchandise using HTS accurately.
• Review invoices, packing lists, B/Ls and other docs.
• Ensure correct duties, taxes, tariffs, and fees are paid.
• Communicate with clients, CBP, carriers and teams.
• Monitor shipments and resolve entry issues or holds.
• Assist with audits, documentation requests and compliance.
