Job summary

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in Denver, CO seeks a Counselor to help patients achieve social, educational, and occupational goals while supporting drug-free life changes. You will report to the Counselor Supervisor or Program Director and ensure compliance with schedules, policies, and regulatory requirements.

The role involves conducting counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, referrals, and crisis intervention, within licensed practice.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Current counseling credentials preferred.
• Ability to perform duties within licensed scope and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions and group sessions.
• Orient patients to program operations and procedures.
• Collect and assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans and maintain records.
• Make referrals and perform follow-ups; coordinate care with providers.
• Provide crisis intervention and in-service training to staff.
