Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a Commercial Electrical Inspector for the Austin area to perform field inspections on commercial construction projects and ensure code compliance. The role emphasizes reading plans, documenting inspections, and communicating with contractors and project teams.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license, with ICC Inspector certs preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and municipal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• ICC Electrical Inspector certification preferred.
• Experience performing commercial electrical inspections.
• Municipal inspection experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during all phases of commercial electrical construction.
• Read and examine electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Inspect installations for compliance with applicable electrical codes and approved plans.
• Report violations, prepare inspection reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
