Job summary

SAFEbuilt seeks an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our national team. You will perform field inspections during residential and commercial electrical construction, review plans, and ensure code compliance.

Strong communication and meticulous record-keeping are essential. Qualified candidates hold a New York Journeyman or Master Electrician license, have commercial and residential inspection experience, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and current construction practices.
• Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide practical, code-compliant solutions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with contractors, clients, and project teams.
• Excellent time management, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during all phases of residential and commercial electrical construction.
• Read and examine electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Inspect installations for compliance with applicable electrical codes and approved plans.
• Report violations, prepare inspection reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
