SAFEbuilt is seeking a Combination Building Inspector in Texas to join our nationwide team of professionals. You will perform daily field inspections on residential, commercial, and public facility projects, explain technical information to diverse audiences, and review plans for code compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field experience, a Texas State Plumbing Inspector License, and ICC inspector credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field experience interpreting building codes and providing compliant solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with diverse audiences including the public, contractors, and officials.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily field inspections of residential, commercial and public facility construction projects.
• Interacts with the public and explains technical information to both technically and non-technically trained individuals.
• Reviews plans and calculations for code compliance and provides interpretations of standards.
• Maintains accurate inspection records and uses permitting software.
