Job summary

Bancroft is hiring a Licensed Clinician/Social Worker for our Mount Laurel, NJ Children’s Residential Program. This full-time, in-person role provides psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation services to youth and adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct, consultative, and supportive assessment and therapy to persons served.
  • Implements clinical services under supervision of Clinical Director with the IDT.
  • Provides individual and group psychotherapy and plans session frequency.
  • Delivers services in accordance with HIPAA, ISP, and Bancroft policies.
  • Coordinates with TDT and residential staff to meet rehabilitation needs.
  • Acts as liaison with external agencies and case managers.

Bancroft is actively seeking highly motivated individuals for our Licensed Clinician/Social Worker opening working within our Children Residential Program in Mount Laurel, NJ!

Responsibilities

This role provides direct, consultative, and supportive assessment and therapeutic services in psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons served to enhance individual potential for learning and to meet the specific rehabilitation needs of persons served.

  • Implements clinical services for individual persons served under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team (IDT), and in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidelines defined by the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), the Individual Support Plan (ISP), Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established Bancroft policies and procedures.
  • Provides direct and consultative psychological services, treatments, and intervention in accordance withregulations, standards, and guidelines defined by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners’ Regulations and Laws, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Individual Support Plan (ISP), and established Bancroft policies and procedures.
  • Provides direct psychological therapy, treatment services, and intervention to persons served:
    • Conducts clinical assessment of the differential, individualized and accurate and identification of the psychosocial/behavioral/spiritual factors of individuals, groups, and families for the purpose of individualized treatment plan
    • Provides individual and group psychotherapy;
    • Plans and schedules frequency and duration of sessions in accordance with individual needs;
    • Utilizes appropriate therapeutic techniques based on the diagnostic, cognitive, psychological,communication, physical abilities, and learning capacity of the individual served;
    • Prompts and/or assists each person in the achievement of goals while actively encouraging theindependence and competency of each person within his/her ability level;
  • Provides consultative services in psychological services to Trans-Disciplinary Team (TDT) and other staff members,persons served family members, and residential direct care givers (both within and outside of the Bancroft organization).
  • Facilitates a team approach to program development, implementation, and monitoring by effectively collaborating with all specialty/clinical disciplines, residential, vocational, staff, and families to identify and best meet the individual rehabilitation needs of each person served.
  • Provides case management to persons served, including, but not limited to, referrals to appropriate community agencies and acts as a liaison between Bancroft and external case managers and funders.
  • Provides ongoing technical support to, and serves as a member of the TDT; e.g., residential staff members,family members, healthcare personnel, etc., regarding behavior intervention programs. Formulates methods and techniques for use by TDT to ensure a functionally-sound behavior plan, as needed for persons served in accordance with the IPP.May provide professional guidance by serving as a member of the Behavior Management Committee, presenting behavior management plans to the Committee and/or Human Rights Committee, contributing to staff learning and ensuring cohesive delivery of behavioral, educational, vocational, and recreational services for each person served.
  • Follows state-approved emergency procedures and utilizes Bancroft-approved crisis intervention techniques at all times.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of one-year experience working with youth and I/DD
  • Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field required
  • A license to practice independently in NJ including LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Masters Level therapist licensed to practice in NJ including LSW and LAC who will achieve full independent licensure in the timeframe required by the appropriate licensing board and is practicing under the supervision of NJ independently licensed therapist. Supervision must be in accordance with corresponding licensing board regulations
