Licensed Clinician reports to the Program Director, provides clinical supervision to Counselors and other staff, and offers direct clinical services such as crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, family therapy, referrals, and discharge planning to patients as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist clinical staff in developing comprehensive treatment plans addressing mental health, substance abuse, education, and vocational rehabilitation.
  • Conduct regular interdisciplinary case conferences.
  • Lead workshops and conduct individual or group therapy sessions as needed.
  • Work with counselors to ensure effective supervision, staff development, and proper documentation.
  • Oversee and coordinate patient case management with social services, legal, educational, and community providers.
  • Review clinical documentation, participate in case reviews, and support clinical and recovery programming.
  • Facilitate patient progression through treatment and ensure appropriate referrals during re-entry and discharge phases.

Qualifications
Required Education
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
Licenses/Certifications
  • Independent license issued by NYS
  • Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), preferred
Required Experience
  • Minimum five years in substance use disorder treatment
  • Minimum two years in a supervisory role
  • Familiarity with OASAS regulations and other relevant bodies
Work Environment
  • Indoor office setting with standard equipment like computers and phones.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking, hearing; standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 20 pounds.
