Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part Time Licensed Clinical Behavioral Health Professional to provide care to employees and dependents at our Health Center in Andalusia, Alabama.

You will offer individual psychotherapy, assessments, and family or group counseling using evidence-based methods. The role supports a diverse patient population with a focus on mental health and well-being within a community clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or equivalent field.
• Licensed as a mental health clinician per state requirements (examples include LCSW, LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LMFT, LPCMH, LPCC, LCPC).
• CAMS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• 4+ years of experience in the field or related area.
• Experience in crisis management, abuse reporting, and cultural competence to meet diverse population needs.

Responsibilities

• Use a strengths-based approach to support patient well-being.
• Provide psychotherapy or counseling to individuals, groups, couples, or families.
• Help patients gain insight, set goals, and plan actions for personal and social development.
• Identify and diagnose psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues using assessments and records.
• Apply evidence-based interventions within scope of practice (CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, Written Exposure Therapy, CAMS).
• Counsel patients on stress, substance abuse, and family issues to modify or improve behavior.
• Collaborate with patients on treatment goals and outcomes.
• Participate in clinical care team activities (consultation, case management, care coordination, referrals).
• Enter data into patient charts to ensure accurate, up-to-date records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Part Time Licensed Clinical Behavioral Health Professional, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Andalusia, AL.

• Predictable Part-Time Schedule: Enjoy a 20-hour-per-week schedule within our clinic hours, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - great for maintaining work-life balance while continuing to make a meaningful impact.
• Meaningful Impact with Diverse Patient Population: Provide individual behavioral health counseling to patients, supporting a wide rang of need including anxiety, depression, trauma, and shift work disorder.
• Beyond the Counseling Room: Participate in health fairs, virtual presentations, and plant engagement activities, giving you the opportunity to promote behavioral health awareness and wellness across the community.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with patients on treatment goals and outcomes.
• Participate in clinical care team activities, including consultation, case management, care coordination, and referrals.
• Enters data into patient’s chart to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or equivalent field of study.
• Licensed as a mental health clinicians as per state requirements: examples include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
• LMSW is not accepted across states.
• For NY ONLY, LCSW, LMHC-D and LMFT-D are accepted.
• Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS – care) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• 4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must have prior counseling experience in the field of treatment of behavioral mental health including depression, mood disorders, alcoholism and drug dependency, family counseling, marital relationship, grief, loss, etc..
• Experience in crisis management, abuse reporting, and cultural competence to meet the diverse needs of the population served in a treatment setting.
• Experience identifying, preventing, and treating of suicidal behaviors.
• Experience with patient referral management and knowledge of available referral resources.
• Previous clinical experiences in integrated behavioral health settings are preferred.
