Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Psychologist to provide psychotherapy to employees at our Health Center in Mountain View, CA. The role operates on a 4-day, 8-hour schedule, with a preferred day off on either Monday or Friday, and a Monday–Friday workweek.

You will conduct psychotherapy with individuals, groups, and families, perform assessments, and apply evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and Written Exposure Therapy.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree required; PhD or PsyD strongly preferred depending on state/scope of practice.
  • Requires an advanced degree and a license to practice clinical psychology.
  • CAMS certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • 2–4 years of experience required.
  • Experience in mental health treatment including depression, mood disorders, alcoholism, drug dependency, family/marital issues.
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Crisis management experience, abuse reporting, and cultural competence.
  • Experience with patient referral management and knowledge of referrals resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy or counseling to individuals, groups, couples, or families.
  • Identify issues and diagnose disorders using interviews and records.
  • Conduct psychological assessments as needed.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions (CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, Written Exposure Therapy) within scope of practice.
  • Counsel individuals on stress, substance use, and family situations to improve adjustment.
  • Engage clients in collaborative treatment goal setting and outcomes.
  • Be an active team member in the clinical care team and coordinate referrals.

As a Full Time Psychologist, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Mountain View, CA.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift. The position follows a four-day, 8-hour schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM), with a preference for either Monday or Friday as the regular day off. We are open to discussing either option based on candidate preference.

What You'll Do
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach to assist clients to get, be, and stay well, in alignment with their values
  • Provide psychotherapy or counseling to individuals, groups, couples, or families, if applicable
  • Interact with clients to assist in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment
  • Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, screeners, records, and reference materials
  • Conduct psychological assessments as needed
  • Utilize evidence-based intervention methods within scope of practice to meet needs of population. Common approaches at Premise sites might include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Written Exposure Therapy, and CAMS
  • Counsel individuals regarding problems such as stress, substance abuse, and family situations, to modify behavior or to improve personal, social, and vocational adjustment
  • Engage clients in collaborative discussion of treatment goals and desired outcomes
  • Participate as an active team member in the clinical care team. Duties may include consultation, case management, care coordination, and coordination of referrals
  • May require other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • Masters required, PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology strongly preferred and may be required depending on state or scope of practice
  • Requires an advanced degree and a license to practice clinical psychology
  • Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS - care) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire
  • 2-4 years of experience required
  • Must have prior experience in the field of treatment of mental health including depression, mood disorders, alcoholism and drug dependency, family counseling, marital relationship, grief, loss, in adults and children
  • Previous clinical experiences in integrated behavioral health settings are preferred
  • Experience in crisis management, abuse reporting, and cultural competence to meet the diverse needs of the population served in a treatment setting
  • Experience identifying, preventing, and treating suicidal behaviors
  • Must have experience with patient referral management and knowledge of available referral resources

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $121,600.00 - $152,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
