Job summary

Blew & Associates, PA is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer to lead the engineering team on diverse site design projects in Fayetteville, AR. You will oversee all disciplines from conception to completion and mentor a small team including an Assistant Engineer and Civil Design Technician.

You will manage grading, drainage, utilities, and road design while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and coordinating with clients and public entities to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/MA in Civil Engineering or equivalent and active PE license
• Minimum five years of relevant Civil 3D or CAD design experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple development projects from conception through completion
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and permitting processes; strong QA/QC
• Strong communication and leadership skills; mentor junior staff
• Proficient in site grading, drainage, utility design, and hydrology

Responsibilities

• Manage development projects including grading, drainage, water retention, and utilities on site design projects
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects
• Evaluate surveys, maps, and data to identify constraints and best development approach
• Perform drainage calculations for storm sewer design and detention ponds
• Lead a design team to correct redlines and plan revisions
• Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal codes
• Communicate with city, county, and state entities on requirements
• Provide status updates and coordinate with project engineers and staff
• Monitor QA/QC policies and project performance
• Interact with project coordinators and clients to report status
